DiEM25 practices semi-direct online democracy. Every grassroots member can vote on our big policy decisions (and participate in the drafting of this policy), can demand a vote on something, and can elect by direct vote the coordinators who are tasked with strategy, representation and day-to-day governance. In case DiEM25 contemplates endorsing a political party for a national election or having DiEM25 members as candidates in such elections, there are also online votes on this (see related guidelines).
It is therefore of vital importance to uphold DiEM25's real name policy and to ensure that nobody is able to manipulate the internal voting by creating many accounts and casting many votes. Anyone found to use a fake name will be expelled without warning.
