In the Members Area, click on "Accountability > Statistics" in the menu in order to access statistics on DiEM25's membership numbers by country, newsletter subscriber numbers and so on. These statistics are always up to date because they are drawn directly from the database (not depending on manual updates).
If you are interested in how many members DiEM25 has in your region or your postal code, click on your country and then the next level. Note that for a lot of members and nearly all newsletter subscribers we do not have this information, that is why "Unknown" is always the largest category. In fact the only mandatory information we collect from newsletter subscribers is which language they speak, not even which country they live in.
The same page also gives a diagram of how many members are paying a membership fee.
Under "Your Account > Members you recruited" you can see how many of your friends signed up with your referral link and you can even see their names. If you forgot what your referral link is, you can copy it from this page. Use it whenever asking people to join DiEM25, so that you can monitor your results.
If you are responsible for a national DiEM25 social media account or similar, this page will additionally show you statistics on the performance of various social media campaigns, petitions, events, articles and so on in driving people to sign up to DiEM25. In order to track the performance of your social media campaign, just give it a unique referral code, e.g. send people to https://i.diem25.org/users/sign_up?refer=tw_fr_20210730 to sign up if you are running a twitter (tw) campaign on the @DiEM25_FR (fr) account on 2021-07-30. You don't have to follow this naming convention, but you cannot invent a referral code that starts with the letter u (they are reserved for individual referrals).
If you have any kind of admin privilege, even just the privilege to upload meeting summaries for your NC, you will get access to another set of statistics via the "Admin Info" menu item. This includes statistics on daily signups, unsubscriptions, membership activity level and so on. If you need any other info for your work, just write to volunteer@diem25.org .
Apart from Statistics, the Accountability menu item also includes:
Even though DiEM25's resources are much smaller, and entirely member-funded (rejecting corporate donations, EU funds and government funds), we decided to already adopt financial transparency practices worthy of a much bigger organisation. This page allows you to browse DiEM25's income and expenses by month, see how donations were distributed in terms of size and earmarks, group expenses by the type of expense or country or group benefitting from them, and so on. What's more, this page cannot lie - it receives its data once a month from our bank account and DiEM25's Financial Coordinator cannot manually add or remove any entries, only add tags explaining what the money was used for.
